The Graduate School of Architecture will hold a special lecture mainly for graduate students, inviting Professor Kenichi Kawaguchi of the University of Tokyo.
This lecture will use ZOOM webinar. Undergraduate and general audiences are also available. Pre-registration is required, so feel free to apply.

Topic:Tensegrity : STensegrity, Skeleton Supporting from Cell to Architecture
Content:Designing lighter and stronger structure with less material is a common demand for every organic creature and artificial building structure. The ultimate forms of such structures become "Tensegrity" skeletons, having peculiar appearance, and are not mentioned in the ordinary textbook of structural engineering. "Tensegrity" will be introduced and explained plainly in the talk.
