International students in the department of Architecture

Waseda University has been very active in international exchange, aiming to promote the global research and education ahead of other universities in Japan. Many graduates have worked as a leader of their countries and contributed to make the world better.　In Waseda Next 125, a med-long term plan formulated on the occasion of the 125th anniversary in 2007, globalization of research and education was positioned as a top priority issue. And we have made excellent students and faculty from all over the world gather on the campus in Tokyo, and aimed to form a global campus where we can learn anywhere in the world.

In the Department of Architecture, a lot of international students from various countries and regions are studying as a undergraduate student or graduate student.　In addition to regular students who have passed the regular entrance examination, many international students come from the partner university which have University-wide Agreement with Waseda university or departmental agreement with the graduate school of creative science and engineering that the department of architecture belongs. We have very active exchange between Bauhaus University(Germany), La Villette University of Architecture(France), Adelaide University (Australia), Université Libre de Bruxelles(Belgium), Barcelona School of Architecture, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya(Spain), Polytechnic University of Turin(Italy) and so on. And also we have double degree program with National Taiwan University.
