Department of Architecture conducts a lot of joint researches and contract researches with a wide range of companies, governments and municipalities. These researches studies are conducted at Research Institute of Science and Engineering and Project Research Institute.

Waseda Research Institute for Science and Engineering (RISE)Website
RISE was established with the purpose of contributing to the development of science and technology and the welfare of humankind by utilizing external funds and collaborating with society. RISE supports joint research and contract research with companies, governments and municipalities.

Project Research Institute is a research organization that promotes collaborative research, centered on Waseda University’s full-time faculty members, regardless of the humanities or sciences.
In response to the demands of society from time to time, this research institute is set up for a fixed period of time.
