In the summer of 2025, the judging panel for that year’s National Student Design Competition, ‘Visualising Deconstructology Studies’, was convened at the venue of the Architectural Institute of Japan Annual Conference. The competition saw the submission of numerous diverse and rich proposals that exceeded the judges’ expectations. To explore the potential for Deconstructology inherent in these works in greater depth, the Waseda University Deconstructology Studies Research Group is organising a special session. We have invited the creators of several works selected as outstanding entries. Starting with student presentations and incorporating sessions with experts, we will freely and vigorously re-examine the future direction of deconstruction.
