［大切なお知らせ］ 2/29(土)開催予定　大隈講堂公開審査・講評会の変更について

連日報道されているとおり、新型コロナウイルス感染症は、日本国内でも感染が拡大しています。 早稲田大学では2月23日に田中総長から「新型コロナウイルスの影響拡大に伴う本学主催のイベント等の対応について」https://www.waseda.jp/top/news/68358が公表されました。

その中では、「2020年3月24日まで本学が主催するイベント等について、イベントへの参加者等の健康面、安全面を考慮し、感染リスクを回避するため、次のいずれかに該当する場合は、原則として中止または延期の判断を行うものといたします。」とされています。

・一定規模以上の参加者が予定されるイベント等（参加者30人程度を目安とする。）
・これまでの事例から感染リスクが高いと言われている高齢の方の参加が多く見込まれるイベント等
・参加者同士の濃厚接触の可能性の高い実施内容を伴うイベント等

建築学科の卒業計画、修士論文、修士計画の公開審査・講評会の開催を大隈講堂にて予定していますが、教室会議で検討するとともに、理工学術院に相談した結果、講評会は公開から非公開とし、無観客講評会・審査会として開催することと致しました。大変残念ですが、本件に関して理解を頂ければ幸いです。参加学生に関しては、発表方法の変更や別途注意喚起を行います。

なお、今後の状況によっては、中止や延期をする場合もあります。

参加者は専任教員と助手・助教のみとなります。講評会の状況は早稲田建築学科のfacebookアカウントにてライブ中継を行います。(https://www.facebook.com/Waseda.Architecture)

The adjustment of the open review conference in February 29, Okuma Auditorium

As reporting for the past several days has indicated, there have now been confirmed cases within Japan of the novel coronavirus and the virus continues to spread. In February 23 a statement named “Preventive Measures for the Spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Regarding Events Organized by the University” was published by President Tanaka in Waseda University. According to his statement, “in order to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus and ensure the well-being of everyone, all events organized by the university scheduled to take place from now until March 24, 2020 that fall under any of the following will be, in principle, cancelled or postponed” was recorded.

1. Events with a large number of participants (i.e. 30 people or above)
2. Events where many senior citizens are expected to attend
3. Events that involve close physical contact between participants

After the consultation with Faculty of Science and Engineering accompanied by the discussion in the meeting of Department of Architecture, as a response to Novel Coronavirus-infected Pneumonia, the open review conference of design of undergraduate students, Master thesis and design of graduate students will be changed to a closed event with no audience. We would appreciate your kind understanding on this adjustment. As for the students who are related to this event, we will also dispatch a notice about the change of the presentation etc.

Note that it may be cancelled or postponed according to the situation.

Only the full-time faculty member, assistant professors and research associates are allowed to take part in it. The live recording of the review meeting will be made public through facebook of Waseda.Architecture.(https://www.facebook.com/Waseda.Architecture)
